The epic space saga of A Far, Far Away focuses primarily on members of the Skywalker family, including the spiritual, if not blood-related member Rey.

The first and most iconic Skywalkers introduced to Star Wars are Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) in the original trilogy of the films.

The members of the Skywalker family are incredibly power-sensitive, giving them the ability to perform great feats, both for good and evil. The most infamous Skywalker in the long history of Star Wars is Anakin Skywalker (Jake Lloyd / Hayden Christensen) who becomes the feared Darth Vader (voiced by James Earl Jones).

While Father is not a central character in the sequel trilogy that Rey is the focus of, his presence is nonetheless great, especially for Rey’s dyad and Skywalker colleague Ben Solo (Adam Driver).

Rey is first introduced as an ashtray on the desert planet Jakku, and Rey is plunged into a larger adventure when she meets a fleeing stormtrooper named Finn (John Boyega) and a droid BB-8, which leads her on a path to learn the Jedi ways from both Luke and Leia.

Much like her mentor Luke, who must manage the power and discover the truth about his family in the original Star Wars series, Rey’s journey is the center of her trilogy, but she is unable to complete her journey alone. During her adventures, Rey encounters herself with allies such as Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), Finn, while continuing to learn valuable lessons from Skywalker twins Luke and Leia.

Rey’s definitive heroic acts in The Rise of Skywalker are meant to be a conclusion for both her character and her Skywalker family, but many fans hope to see more of both in the coming Star Wars projects.

Rey’s incredible powers and the potential for new and exciting storylines have caused fans to recall more of the character in the future. One of the reasons fans are clamoring for more Rey is to unveil their unique golden-yellow light saber at the end of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Like everyone else Star Wars fans know, red light sabers are the weapons of the evil Sith, and blue as well as green sabers are the choice of the Jedi, except of course Mace Windu’s (Samuel L. Jackson) famous purple light saber. This is why Rey’s yellow blade is interesting for fans, especially since no one has seen it in action yet.

Besides movies, many famous Star Wars names have continued their legends with various television shows and written works, which could have been the fate of characters such as Rey and Finn.

Boyega has already publicly stated that he has no interest in returning to the franchise, and Ridley has rekindled a similar sentiment. Still, it is possible that both actors could change their minds, or that their characters in a different format could return to the franchise.
