Pryce, who played the High Sparrow in Thrones and Pope Francis in The Two Breaks, was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe for his portrayal of the latter. He and his Thrones costars were also nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Cast in a Drama Series in both 2016 and 2017.
Pryce is also not the only one Thrones alum to step into the role of Prince Philip.
Tobias Menzies, who played Edmure Tully in HBO fantasy, currently plays Philip.
