Little Mix’s new single “Holiday” has topped this week’s new music poll.
Music fans voted in a poll released on Friday (July 24) at Billboard, choosing the UK’s latest quartet pop gem as their new favorite music release from last week.
“Holiday,” which will appear on the group’s next sixth studio album, garnered 63 percent of the vote, beating new music from Taylor Swift, Logic, Maroon 5, J. Cole, and others.
The song offers luscious bass line, top-notch vocals, and sultry lyrics (“Touch me like a summer night, you feel like a party,” says the chorus).
Second in this week’s poll with 23 percent of the vote was Swift’s new surprise album, Folklore. The 16-song set, its eighth studio release, takes Swift back into the woods, as indicated by the creepy grayscale album artwork, and delves into her non-country singer-songwriter roots. , but they swing more for indie rock.
Folklore, the 2019 follow-up Lover, features music by composers such as Aaron Dessner, Jack Antonoff and Bon Iver of The National.
Third in this week’s poll was the “other” category, which accounted for almost 6 percent of the vote, followed by Logic’s “No Pressure” in fourth with almost 3.6 percent.
