No, it’s not the predictable plot of a made for TV movie, but instead a salacious story that former Liberty University president Jerry Falwell Jr., his wife Becki and a pool boy claiming the Christian couple are on a path of destruction, despair set. and depression.
Falwell Jr. alleges a threat of “fatal attraction” to exposing an affair that his wife had set up an emotional rollercoaster for his family eight years ago prior to his suspension from his collegiate post earlier this month.

On Friday, the Virginia-based private evangelical university said it was investigating “rumors and claims” about Falwell Jr.
The 58-year-old father has been in the news recently following a public scandal, where he posted a holiday photo of himself with his pants unzipped and his arm high around the waist of his pregnant assistant. Falwell Jr., a lawyer who is a strong supporter of President Trump, was placed on an indefinite leave of absence. The move sent shock waves through the conservative Christian school.
On Friday, Falwell Jr. gave a lengthy statement about his wife’s infidelity and the situation that led to it, telling the Washington Examiner, “I’m just tired of it. It has to end.”
In the statement, Falwell Jr. claims. that he forgave his wife, but said by the time the Miami pool attendant had them all had an affair with “became increasingly angry and aggressive” and “began threatening to make his secret relationship with Becki public and deliberately embarrass me” wife, family and Liberty University, unless we agree to pay him substantial money. “
Falwell Jr. admitted that “we did our best to discover this ‘fatal attraction’ kind of situation respectively to protect our family and the University.”

“It was like living on a rollercoaster,” he said.
Falwell Jr. said his family tried to remain friendly with the Miami man and his family, but that threatening texts and demands for large sums of money forced her to turn down the relationship.
“As we tried to distance ourselves over time, he unfortunately became increasingly angry and aggressive,” Falwell Jr. said.
The late father of Falwell Jr. Founded the Lynchburg, Va. school with hope of converting it into the evangelical equivalent of the University of Notre Dame in Indiana.

Falwell Jr., who did not follow in his father’s footsteps in the ministry, took over Liberty in 2007. At the time, Falwell Jr. was working. to fund Liberty, its campus renewed with more than $ 1 billion in construction projects, endowment and increased its online enrollment.
According to The Associated Press, Liberty’s net worth was $ 2.3 billion according to the most widely available tax return, up from less than $ 220,000 in 2008.
