Fallout 76 dev hits rap travel bug live at QuakeCon

Bugs happen, and sometimes they happen at very uncomfortable times. During a livestream for Fallout 76’s new update, A Colossal Problem, by QuakeCon, the player encountered, well, a colossal problem when trying to travel hard in the MMORPG game.

Associate community manager Devann McCarthy led the A Colossal Problem Boss event when the incident occurred. At some point, she goes to fast-travel, and is treated to a common break where no travel occurs and you have to re-enter your destination. McCarthy brushes it off and everything stays normal, but it’s striking considering the glitch happened on first attempt.

Players have been facing this particular bug for a while, frustrated by the lack of a fix yet. By fighting Reddit, you will find posts as short as a month old terrifying annoyance, and discuss it as one of the most annoying bugs in the RPG game. Fallout 76 does not have the best reputation, and moments like this hammer house why is that. Fortunately, the rest of the stream went away without a hitch, if you want to take a deep dive into the content of A Colossal Problem.

This update is the latest in the summer quarter of Bethesda’s roadmap for Fallout 76. In another QuakeCon At Home panel, developers have confirmed that full mod support is underway.

In the very various livestream events we had this weekend, we had the announcement of Doom Eternal’s first DLC, metal musician Matt Heafy shredded some of Doom’s music, and a solid theory about a mysterious Doom Eternal Easter egg.
