Fall Guys Patch Notes: Great update pokes fun on players

Fall Guys gets a new patch on PS4 and PC that aims to solve some of its biggest issues, while also making the game more honest and less frustrating. Planned for this week, it addresses several different parts of the game and the patch notes even include a light jab at players who are preoccupied with the dominance of the Yellow Team in team games.

The round-selection algorithm has been changed so that it will now only select team-based games if the team size can be equal, and the most common crash issues were addressed. Jump Showdown was one of the biggest targets for the patch, fixing a jump exploit and camera issues, and the Slime Climb will no longer allow players to tackle certain obstacles.

On PS4, users with inverted controls can finally play the game with an X / Y axis setting, as well as sensitivity settings. The UI also needs to run more smoothly on older PS4 systems, and the jump button binding can be changed for Japanese players to better match what other games use.

Fall Guys is not slowing down, as Geoff Keighley’s Gamescom Opening Night Live will be the venue for an August 25 Season 2 reveal. It’s not clear what will be included in the new season, but we’ll probably see new modes and costumes. The developers are also interested in seeing the game get the Lego treatment when the toy giant is also on board.
