Falcons Madden 21 rankings officially revealed

The 2020 NFL season seems to be approaching slowly, which also means it’s time for EA Sports to release their official Madden 21 player ratings as they do every year.

Earlier in the week, Madden School leaked player ratings for the Atlanta Falcons here at The Falcoholic. As mentioned earlier, some of the player ratings would certainly change before the official launch, and they have.

The most important thing to me about player ratings is seeing wide receiver Julio Jones rated 97. For someone who hasn’t played any of Madden’s games, you may be thinking 97 is good, and it is. But in my opinion, Julio Jones is the best wide receiver in the NFL, and is ranked as the third best nationwide behind Michael Thomas of the New Orleans Saints (99 overall) and DeAndre Hopkins of the Arizona Cardinals (98 in general). Jones has never started an NFL season in Madden’s exclusive “99 Club” and it’s ridiculous to think that Michael Thomas has done it now.

Any UDFA not listed above will likely be added in a later update, assuming they are part of the list or practice squad.

Overall, the ratings are fair I guess. There are plenty of low ratings as EA Sports has tried in recent years to level the game’s realism with more practical numbers. I’ve played every Madden since Madden 97, and honestly at this point, it’s been nothing more than an annual roster update. Slight changes here and there, of course, but nothing important, especially in its franchise mode. Player ratings will be updated throughout the season, so don’t lose sleep over these ratings. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will appear on the cover of Madden 21, and the game will launch on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on August 28, 2020. The MVP edition of the game will launch on 25 of August.
