Facebook switches to EU authorities over Paul’s alleged anti-trust behavior

Facebook alleges that it has been challenged by Apple’s policies and controls over in-app payments, gaming apps, log-in tools and online advertising.

“In each category, the party has made policy and enforcement decisions that harm its own services and revenue streams.”

Facebook’s submission, according to the report, is a direct attempt to influence the proposed law against tech giants led by Tim Cook.

Tensions are rising between the two companies. Social media last month accused Apple of not allowing it to inform its users about a 30% reduction in payments in the app.

The introduction of iOS 14 is also likely to hit the advertising revenue of the social network and its platforms.

However, Cupertino said earlier this month that it was delaying the release of privacy features in iOS 14 that would affect Facebook.

The two companies are also at odds over whether the Meno Park-based social media giant’s cloud gaming application is often denied entry to the App Store.
