The actor was recently caught in the headlines when his ex-girlfriend, singer FKA Twigs, accused him of physical, emotional and mental abuse in the suit.

“Shia needs help and he knows it,” La Buff’s attorney told Variety. “We are desperately looking for the kind of meaningful, intensive, long-term inpatient treatment he desperately needs.”

Laboof’s past has also been plagued by feuds, as he struggled with drugs and alcohol addiction and faced several public outcries after rising to fame as a young star on Disney Channel’s “Even Stevens.”

Shia Labioff’s name is FKA. Twigs has been removed from Netflix’s Overward Consideration page amid the law.

Until the scandal broke, the actor was considered an award contender for Van Nessa Kirby for his upcoming Netflix film “Pieces of a Woman”, which is already a favorite to take home acting trophies this season.
