Exclusive news about original plans for Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson at Slammiversary, their offerings

As noted, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have signed with Impact Wrestling and will debut tonight. Slammiversary Pay to see.

The team was first contacted by Impact Wrestling Deputy Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore after its launch into WWE. D’Amore struggled to get them to sign, as they apparently felt they needed bigger names on their list.

As previously reported, the team signed two-year agreements that also allow them to work for New Japan Pro Wrestling. With both deals paired with their podcast, they’re likely to make as much money as they did in WWE, if not a little more.

As part of Gallows’ deal, his promotion, Lariato Pro Wrestling Guild, will have shows recorded and broadcast on Impact’s streaming service.

The original plan was for Gallows and Anderson to attack then-World Impact Champion Tessa Blanchard in the main event of Slammiversary. Apparently it was Gallows and Anderson’s idea, as they felt it would generate great heat from the start. Obviously with Blanchard’s launch, everything has changed.

As previously reported, Gallows, Anderson, and Rocky Romero filmed their “Talk ‘N Shop A Mania” last week that will air on FITE on Saturday, August 1. Many professional wrestling stars were part of the shoot, including Enzo Amore, Heath Slater, Willie Mack, Curt Hawkins, The Rock n ‘Roll Express, Alex Koslov, Mike Bennett, Maria Kanellis, Chavo Guerrero, Executive Vice President of Impact Scott D ‘Amore, Johnny Swinger, Teddy Long, Tyson Dean, Jeff Lewis Neal, Raven’s Flock (Sick Boy, Lodi, Reese & Scotty Riggs) and D’Lo Brown. A slew of sketches and outrageous matches were recorded on the show, including a “Boner-Yard Match,” which is a parody of this year’s WrestleMania Boneyard match.
