Another former Ellen DeGeneres Show contributor has come forward and made shocking claims about what it was like to work on the talk show during the day.

According to a former camera assistant on the program, who asked to remain anonymous, the workplace was ‘like The Devil Wears Prada’.

They told Brisbane radio program Stav, Abby & Matt that some employees were told not to be in the same room as DeGeneres – although it is not clear if these guidelines came from DeGeneres himself.

The Devil Wears Prada is a 2006 film based on the 2003 novel of the same name, about a college graduate (Anne Hathaway) who works for a predominant editor of fashion magazines (Meryl Streep) in New York City .

To describe a workplace as ‘like The Devil Wears Prada’ suggests an exciting environment with nervous staff running on egg whites around a demanding boss.

‘I worked there for a little over a year. It’s kind of like The Devil Wears Prada. Everyone is trying to make it to the [end of a] years, ‘said the former camera assistant.

‘It’s just a badge of honor to have that and have it on your resume.’

Talking about her interactions with Ellen, she added: ‘I could not even be in the same room as her. Most people are told, “When Ellen enters the room, you and your entire crew must leave.”

“Sometimes their bodyguards come forward first and you kind of see them and you know how to get away and that’s it.”

It comes after DeGeneres’ wife, Portia de Rossi, told Page Six that the 62-year-old would continue with her performance despite the ongoing scandal.

She had spoken out in defense of her wife earlier this month on social media, and ‘I Stand by Ellen’ posted in response to a litany of stories with details of proven bad behavior behind the scenes of her show.

It comes after several employees stepped forward to accuse DeGeneres and her former executives of a ‘toxic work environment’.

The program’s parent company, WarnerMedia, has begun an investigation after a handful of employees went public with their grievances.

Last month, one current and ten former employees accused the three executive producers of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ed Glavin, Mary Connelly and Andy Lassner, of ‘bullying’.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted DeGeneres representatives for comment.
