EVA Airways, one of Taiwan’s largest carriers, is partnering with travel experience company Mobius in a campaign called “Fly! Love in the Air”. These are flights for singles on Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Because of the Covid-19, Eva Air organizes “false travel” experiences to fulfill people’s travel desires. When men and women travel alone without enjoying the fun of traveling, they may want to meet someone – like a scene. In the romantic movie, “Mobius’s speed dating arm,” spokesman Chiang Tsang-wei told CNN Travel for you and me.
Each dating experience includes a three-hour flight that departs from Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport and carries the airspace above Taiwan, plus another two hours of romantic dates land.
Participants are encouraged to have convers conversations with each other across the board while taking a meal sample prepared by Michelin-Stars chef Motoke Nakamura. They are also encouraged to continue wearing the mask when they do not eat or drink.
Each of the three tours varies slightly. Flight on Christmas day, will arrive on the solid ground after the afternoon tea date. Before the New Year’s Eve date arrives on the guests’ plane, a candle-kick comes with dinner, where they will count together 2021. New Year’s Day will be a snack date.
Flight attendants on EVA Air’s speed dating flight will be doubled as “Love Cupids,” event organizer Mobius said on his poster.

For passengers on anti-match flights who want to look out the window as well as fellow singles, day EVA air flights fly over the east coast of Taiwan, where they can see the mountain ranges that stretch from Hualien City in the north to Taitung. City in the south.
At night the flight will go to the west coast of the island, where they will see the cities of Taiwan illuminated in darkness.
Unlike a typical flight, there is no window or wing of choice ahead of time. Participants will be seated by a lucky draw in pairs. However, they will be free to roam the ground during meals and chat with other passengers.
All three itineraries are wrapped in a hearty “confession” section where participants reveal who they click with.
“The biggest benefit of speed dating in flight comes from the serious nature of our participants,” Chiang says. “In addition to mobilizing participants with sufficient cost power, it also attracts a group of single people who prefer to travel. With similar values, it accelerates the motivation of meeting participants and helps slow down their conversation from the start.”
Only singles will not be able to join the flights.
Each flight carries only 40 passengers – 20 men and 20 women. Participants must be university graduates with citizenship in Taiwan.
The event welcomes men between the ages of 28 and 38 and women between the ages of 24 and 35.
The peculiarities of age have struck some negative blows to some line.
“From the various surveys we conducted, most male participants prefer to meet women younger than them while female participants prefer to meet older men. That’s why there are different criteria for the occasion,” says Chiang, “but you and I have organized various dating events that cater to different age groups. “
The fee for each trip is TWD8388 (5 295) per person. All tickets for the first Christmas flight have already been sold out.
