(Reuters) – EU regulators are compiling a “hit list” of as many as 20 major Internet companies, including potential Facebook, Apple Plus, Amazon and Google’s Alphabet, which will face new and stricter rules aimed at boosting their market power, the Financial Times reported. reported at ft.com/34NZ3lW.

Large techno plat platforms will have to adhere to stricter regulation than smaller competitors, the newspaper reported on Sunday, citing people familiar with the discussions.

The new rules will force companies to share data with competitors and become more transparent on how they collect information, the report said.

The list will be based on parameters such as market share and number of users, the newspaper said, adding that the exact number of companies and the exact criteria for the listing are still being discussed.
