Finding Xbox Series X Actions It can be an infuriating experience right now, but frustrated prospective buyers can at least take comfort in the fact that Microsoft’s latest doesn’t have many games yet. That won’t be the case for long, though, and Microsoft proved it with its indie games showcase on Twitch yesterday.
Titled / twitchgaming Showcase: ID @ Xbox, the three-hour stream showcased more than 60 games, with new trailers for many of them. Here are the ten most interesting of the event, which you can see it in its entirety here.
Exomecha
One of the biggest budget games on display, Exhomecha is a free online FPS coming to Xbox One, Series S, Series X, and PC in August. From the trailer above, it will certainly look familiar to Titanfall fans, and X Series players can enjoy the game in 4K or 120fps performance mode while enjoying cross-play with other platforms.
Voidtrain
Even with this new trailer, it’s still hard to know exactly what to expect from Voidtrain. Yes, there are clearly a lot of FPS elements, but it seems like the train you’re building and improving along the way will take you to some very strange places when it leaves the platform in 2022.
Nobody saves the world
The team behind beat-em-up wrestling Guacamelee is back with Nobody Saves the World, an intense-looking bullet-hell RPG with a charming art style and loads of personality. It’s coming “soon” for the Xbox Series and Xbox One consoles, as well as PC, and will be on Game Pass from the start.
Death gate
It’s hard not to be completely delighted with the opening minute of this trailer where a raven goes about his business as a designated reaper of death. The game itself will see your raven heading to a “twisted place where nothing has died for centuries” to fix things in an intense looking dungeon exploration game. It’s coming to Xbox One, Series consoles, and PC this summer.
Twelve minutes
Twelve Minutes has been anticipated for some time, and not just thanks to its all-star cast of James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley, and Willem Dafoe. It’s an intriguing premise where the same horrible 12-minute time loop repeats itself until you figure out how to change the outcome with the knowledge of what’s to come … like an interactive episode of The Twilight Zone. It will be available soon for PC and Xbox near you.
Moonglow bay
If you cross The Touryst with Stardew Valley, you could end up with something that looks a lot like Moonglow Bay. A fishing simulator mixed with an adventure game, the general story sees him trying to figure out what happened to his recently deceased partner, a mystery he can uncover through the local cooperative, with a friend taking on the role of his daughter. . It’s coming to PC and Xbox this year, and it’ll be on Game Pass from launch.
The ascent
Yes Cyberpunk 2077 it wasn’t action packed enough for you, then maybe The Ascent is more of your bag. A solo, co-op action RPG set in a cyberpunk world, it’s up to you (and maybe your friends) to pick up the pieces after The Ascent Group collapses, leading to chaos on the streets.
Demonic lawn
The combination of 2D and 3D cell shading certainly makes Demon Turf an eye-catching showcase title, at least if you’re into platforming games. It’s coming to Xbox and PC later this year, but there’s a demo now if you want to get an idea of how to play ahead of time.
omno
Omno, one of the more relaxing-looking Xbox games on the showcase, seems like a completely laid-back experience where you explore a vast open world, solving puzzles along the way. While this is coming to PS4, as well as the Xbox and PC family, it will be on Game Pass from day one.
The big scam
I may be showing my age a bit by including this one, but The Big Con’s’ 90s styles make it, to say the least, an intriguing change from most green-lit games. An adventure game where you play a teenage con artist looking to save your mom’s video store (remember those?), It’s bright and bold with a unique art style. Coming soon for Xbox One and PC.
