Developers CD Projekt Red, who are currently putting the finishing touches on “Cyberpunk 2077,” have announced that their previous title, the critically acclaimed best-seller, “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,” will receive a free graphics update for next generation hardware.
Current owners of the game on PC, Playstation and Xbox will get the update for free, one that offers a “range of visual and technical improvements” including faster load times and ray-traced graphics. The update will apply to the base game, both its expansions and other “additional content.”
The game was released in 2015 and still regularly appears on the top Steam charts for PC. It is not yet clear when the update will be released, but it will work “with any physically or digitally purchased copy” of the game for Xbox One, PC or PS4, be it a release, GOTY or a full edition.
