Will spending $ 100 on ‘Genshin Impact’ get Klee off their banner?

Well, Genshin Impact is starting to become quite… expensive prospect. If you are an avid gamer, there is little more exciting than introducing a new character to the game. But this is not Avengers, that character is not free. This is a gacha game. And you can’t just to buy the character, that would be too easy, you have to bet on them.

Genshin Impact’s new character is Klee, a Pyro 5 star who has her own banner. When a character has a banner, that means there is a 50/50 shot on whatever 5 star he gets is the one that appears. But the chance of getting a 5-star is so low in the first place, it doesn’t really matter.

Genshin Impact has a “pity” system in place, where after 90 pulls you are guaranteed a five star rating. But there are two pitfalls in that. First, those 90 pulls are * per banner *. For example, if you have 60 rolls on a banner (the Diluc / Jean general which is on now) that doesn’t seem to carry over to the new banner and you are starting from scratch. And after those 90 pulls, you’re only guaranteed * a * five stars, not the featured one, so you only have a 50% chance of getting them. Another 90 jerks after that They are Guaranteed that five stars if you didn’t get it the first time.

So in total, the big cost of 180 potential hitches, if you’re really unlucky and don’t get the featured 5-star before then, is around $ 400.

So to answer my question above, no, $ 100 will absolutely not guarantee you Klee, and it didn’t get me Klee.

If you’ve been following my coverage of Genshin Impact, you know I made $ 100 and started with the Venti banner, and I managed to get it. But back then, the first time you pay $ 100 for the game, you get double the bonus gems, which were 12,960 primogems. That was 81 pulls compared to 50 I could make for the same price now. And I probably had 50+ runs on the Jean / Diluc banner, which didn’t carry over and guaranteed me a five-star, any five-star, on the Klee banner.

Needless to say, this was quite frustrating and expensive, and while I’ve had 5-star good luck in the past, this was not the case this time. I know this is a gacha game, but even gacha veterans say these rates are very, very bad for the genre, and on top of that, even if you manage to get a new 5 star, they start at level one, and No I can imagine how long it would take to get that character to level 70 with a level 70 weapon and rank 5 talents as my main gear, given the other restrictions the game has at the moment.
