Will Apple announce AirPods Studio and AirTags soon? Maybe

(Pocket-lint) – Although Apple recently hosted three different events, it reportedly might have another product announcement up its sleeve. According to MacRumors, who saw an “inside note” from Apple, the company appears to be planning something for December 8, 2020.

More specifically, Apple apparently informed service providers that it has “AppleCare-related changes” next Tuesday at 5:30 am PT (8:30 am ET). He told technicians to prepare for new product SKUs, as well as new or updated product descriptions and prices. MacRumors said these types of notes generally precede Apple’s product announcements, including, most recently, the iPhone 12 in October.

That said, various reports think that Apple probably won’t hold a press event any time soon; instead, Cupertino could publish press releases to announce a couple of new products. 5:30 AM Pacific Time is a popular slot the company chooses to quietly announce hardware, such as the 13-inch MacBook Pro in May 2020, the 16-inch MacBook Pro in November 2019, and the AirPods from second generation in March 2019..

Additionally, L0vetodream, which has a reliable track record when it comes to leaks, recently claimed on Twitter that there will be a “Christmas surprise from Apple,” although it is not yet clear what Apple will announce if all of this is true. Maybe it will finally release its long-rumored item tracking AirTags, or maybe the AirPods Studio over-ear headphones. These products were rumored to launch in 2020, but they never materialized.

Regardless of what’s featured, it will obviously be available with AppleCare coverage, so we’re assuming it will be hardware. Stay tuned and we will keep you posted.
