What time does Fortnite season 5 start?
The manufacturers have now confirmed that Fortnite Season 5 will launch on December 2 starting at 4 p.m. ET. The makers had initially planned to end their Fortnite Season 4 on November 30, but it was recently postponed. It was certainly obvious that the creators will launch Fortnite Season 5 with the Galactus event that just launched. Other than that, the creators even shared a set of Fortnite Season 5 patch notes. These Fortnite patch notes have all the new changes that have been made to your game.

- When the “Party Guest” message appears in the user interface, you can now accept the invitation immediately instead of having to open Party Finder.
- The news widget has been adjusted to avoid the need for a scroll bar in most cases.
- A scrolling option has been added for controller users in case scrolling is required.
- Updated consoles to use less shader storage. This improves the size of the patches and reduces load times.
- Optimized file ordering to reduce load times on all platforms.
- The “Epic Friends” button now appears in the main menu when using a gamepad on Windows or Mac.
Error correction
- Fixed an issue that intermittently caused the push to talk setting to not work as expected.
- Blocked players will no longer appear as suggested friends.

Weapons + Items
- Shotguns will now indicate how many buckshot to hit, visible within the reticle.
- Shotgun spread patterns adjusted to be consistent without random variation.
- The Heavy Shotgun now fires 10 pellets instead of 5.
- The maximum damage of the heavy shotgun remains unchanged.
- After firing a shotgun, you cannot fire another shotgun for a very short time.
- Reduced hunting rifle aim assist when aiming to match other sniper rifles with projectile bullets.
- Reduced vehicle recoil force on Grenade, Sticky Grenade, Grenade Launcher, and Rocket Launcher.
- Remote explosives must now adhere to an object first before they can be detonated.
- Tac and Silenced SMG environmental damage now correctly matches the player’s damage.
- Changed the damage reduction profile of the suppressed SMG to be the same as other SMGs.
- The drop starts at 24 meters from 28 meters.
- Damage reduced to 80% at 35 meters from 85% at 47.5 meters.
- Damage reduced to 65% at more than 50 meters from 75% at more than 70 meters.

How to play
- All Terrain Kart (ATK)
- The new All Terrain Kart (ATK) has room for all your gear.
- Get a speed boost after skidding.
- The roof acts as a bounce platform.
- Work together as rear passengers to jump obstacles with the All Terrain Kart (ATK). Lean back and release at the same time for a higher jump.
- Lean back by holding S on keyboards or holding the joystick back for controllers.

- New Location: Paradise Palms
- New location: lazy links
- Some unnamed POIs have also appeared all over the island.

- The center of storm circles 7, 8, and 9 can now move in random directions (instead of just shrinking). As the storm approaches, it will move and shrink to the new location.
- Starting with season 5, progressive challenges will no longer be restricted to a single season. You can now complete progressive challenges at your own pace.
- Progressive challenges are now completed by acquiring a fixed amount of XP and are no longer dependent on your season level.
- Move / turn controls have been added to the Nintendo Switch. Adjust these options in the Settings menu.
- Weekly Challenges are now divided into two sections, Free and Battle Pass. The first 3 challenges will be available for free, while the last 4 will only be available if you have the Battle Pass. The threshold to unlock the weekly challenge reward will remain 4.
- Down But Not Out players now have a smaller collision. Previously, its collision was at standing height, preventing DBNO players from getting under doors and blocking building collision in some cases.
- Players who were crouched when they were knocked down but not out of play will be crouched again when reviving.
- Emotions will now interrupt the race.
- You now get XP for reviving your teammates in 50 vs. 50 and 20 LTM teams up to three times per match (30XP, 10XP, 10XP).
- Weapon reticle will now fade slightly when reloading, out of ammo, or when switching weapons.
- The player’s camera can now see out of the water when walking in lakes.
Error correction
- Launch pads and cozy campfires now destroy overlapping small items when placed.
- Reduced activation volume for the floor damage trap to better match images and prevent it from activating when standing on the upper ledges
- Supply flames now fall to the ground if the item they were standing on is destroyed.
- Autorun will no longer be canceled if you release the lever and move back slightly while using a gamepad.
- Fixed issue where autorun could be active while using a shopping cart.
- The first storm circle will now consistently deal 1 damage.
- Players will no longer get stuck in a door if they were standing on it when the door was closed.
- Fixed an issue that prevented some weapon animations from playing.
- Autorun can no longer be activated while walking backwards.
- Textures will now appear correctly consistently in edit mode.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when logging out.
