President Trump complained on Fox News about how ‘big massive landfills’ cost him the election in a viral clip.
Donald Trump called Fox News on Nov. 29 for an interview with host Maria Bartiromo and complained about how much the 2020 presidential election cost him “big and massive landfills.”
“If I watched the elections, the older people would call me to say congratulations, political people, congratulations, sir, you won the elections,” recalls Trump. “It was 10 o’clock and you looked at the numbers and I’m sure you felt that way.”
“This election ended,” Trump continued, “and then they made runs. They call them garbage dumps. big massive landfills, in Michigan and Pennsylvania, and everywhere. “

The video clip of Trump’s comments on the “massive dumps” quickly went viral on Twitter, with the video amassing half a million views in less than an hour.
The Daily Beast reporter Molly Jong-Fast retweeted the clip and said, “Yeah, it’s called voting by mail and it’s what people do during a pandemic,” explaining how and why large amounts of legal votes were counted after Election Day. “
Jame Surowiecki, a contributor to The New Yorker, also pointed to inconsistencies in Trump’s statement. The tweeted, “Unbelievable. Trump goes on to say that because he rose at 10 p.m. on Election Night, the election ended, although at that time mail-in votes in the major swing states (with the exception of AZ) have not they had been tabulated. “

While “massive landfills” were trending on Twitter on Sunday, a few days earlier, Meidas Touch, a Political Action Committee, made the hashtag “Diaper Don” trending nationwide after Trump made his press appearance. the Thanksgiving.
