Is Cheater Island real in Fall Guys?
Yes, Cheater Island was real in Fall Guys.
According to the game’s official Twitter page, Cheater Island was a real anti-cheat feature in Fall Guys that resulted in nefarious players taking on each other.
There were issues with the feature that resulted in apparent errors such as the game loading forever and players “crashing forever”.
But, according to Mediatonic, this was because there weren’t enough cheaters to do a 40+ player session.
Nefarious players with bad intentions allegedly discovered solutions to make the game “break”, such as joining sessions with partners who had not committed any crimes in the game.
Family sharing was also another bypass exploited by guilty players, so Mediatonic continued to routinely raise thresholds on cheat detection.
However, Mediatonic finally started watching videos of what could have been Cheater Island in action. But the problem is that they cannot be 100% sure.
Why Cheater Island has been closed in Fall Guys
Cheater Island has been closed on Fall Guys because Mediatonic is now opting for the anti-cheat software used by Epic Games with Fortnite.
Instead of going to Cheater Island, the guilty players can simply no longer log into the Fall Guys account.
The developers have also said that they will continue to increase the detection threshold.
