A new Call of Duty: War zone The report has disappointing news for PS4, Xbox One, and PC gamers waiting for a new map. Earlier this year, rumors suggested that a new War zone The map would be released in conjunction with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Said that Black Ops Cold War will be released next week and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be with a new War zone Map. Jumping on this observation, Modern war zone, A prominent Call of Duty Insiders and leaker information, claims that a new map won’t be released until 2021, or more specifically, until March 2021. Echoing this, VGC notes that fans shouldn’t expect to see a map this year, though they don’t reference until March 2021 will be when a new map finally arrives.
Unfortunately, no source provides additional details, leaving fans not only speculating why a new map will no longer be released this year, but also what this new map will be. Whichever map turns out to be, it will presumably be Black ops-themed instead of Modern war-topic, like, at that point, Black Ops Cold War will be the main COD.
At press time, none of the involved parties (Activision, Treyarch, Infinity Ward, or Raven Software) have commented on these rumors, and they are unlikely to do so. If they do, we will make sure to update the story with whatever is provided.
In the meantime, take everything here with a grain of salt. While both sources have proven reliable in the past, we also heard rumors at one point about a new War zone map release this year, which seems highly unlikely at this point.
Call of Duty: War Zone is available, for free, via PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and will also be available next week via PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
