Various Call Of Duty: War Zone Players have reported being kicked out of the game despite not engaging in cheating and hacking.

Shadowbans in Call of Duty refers to players who are unable to participate in regular matchmaking and instead are matched up with other players who are suspected of cheating.

Players can be shadowbanned after being reported by other players for alleged infractions. The player reporting feature in Call Of Duty: War Zone It was introduced earlier this year after several waves of bans targeting players using cheats and tricks.

The reporting tool was designed to help Activision and Infinity Ward highlight illegal gamers, before taking action against them by banning or suspending their accounts. However, the feature now apparently inadvertently affects players who don’t use cheats or tricks.

YouTuber Tomographic released a video on Christmas Day recounting his experience with the shadow ban. Other players reportedly reported his account for cheating when he was actually using a broken rifle.

The user then attributed his cheating accusations to his use of the DMR 14 rifle, which he claims allows players to kill enemies with two headshots consecutively. “It is clear that not everyone is aware of how broken this new rifle is,” he said.

Tomographic then goes on to detail what the “cheat stand” looks like. He pointed out that queuing for a game in War zone Now it takes you 15-20 minutes before you get into a match, which is littered with other cheaters.

The shadowban also affected other players in Tomographic’s group. He claimed that even though his teammates weren’t banned or blacklisted, they too would encounter an onslaught of cheaters whenever they played matches with him.

Tomographic has from revealed on Twitter that your shadowban has been lifted, and you can continue playing Call Of Duty: War Zone again without being thrown into the “cheat stand”.

In other War zone News, fan favorite character John “Soap” MacTavish has been teased for joining the game’s roster of operators. Following the reveal of a new Warzone scene, featuring Soap’s voice off-screen, the character’s operator pack was leaked and will reportedly be available on Black Ops Cold War. No release date has been announced for Soap as an operator.
