The Ethiopian government should continue its active participation in creating clarity and understanding about the ongoing law enforcement operation in the Tigray region for interested agencies, said an Ethiopian diplomat.
Former ambassador to Cuba, Asfaw Dingamo, told ENA that Ethiopian diplomats must improve their engagements with regional and international actors to clarify the operation in the region.

“As diplomats out of the country, we must work very hard to expose the propaganda of the TPLF group that has been circulating for years,” he said.
Asfaw further noted that the Ethiopian diaspora around the world, even in large countries like the United States and other European countries, should play a crucial role in creating understanding in the countries of their residence.
“We (diplomats) have to work closely with members of the diaspora community to ensure that everyone understands the essence of the police operation,” he said.
Additionally, the ambassador called for the need to change the wrong narrative on mainstream and social media platforms about ongoing efforts to maintain law and order.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said yesterday that the second phase of the law enforcement operation in the Tigray region is now complete and that the operation has entered its final and crucial round of seizing Mekelle to bring criminals to justice. Justice.
