Recently released games
Despite the troubles that have plagued us all in 2020, many games have still been released, with some heavy hitters in the mix. The basics of EA’s sports world have arrived on schedule, with Madden, NBA, and FIFA receiving 21 new entries. However, PES has skipped a year and only released an update rather than an entirely new game.
Other franchises also saw new additions with Watch Dogs Legion getting a release, while Dirt 5 launched last month and will receive a next-gen update shortly. Assassin’s Creed also returned with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, their most successful game at launch thus far and which looks astonishingly good on both next-gen machines.
On the other hand, Marvel came and gave us an Avengers game that had a mixed reception, despite giving us a solid campaign. And Switch players felt an explosion of nostalgia with the release of Mario 3D All-stars, a collection of 3D Mario games that includes the legendary Mario 64.
And of course the next generation of games is here and the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and the PS5 are finally here to play.
