VICTORIA Beckham is being sued by a former employee who allegedly suffered a “life-changing injury” while working for the star’s fashion company.
Kristina Kubiliene claims that she was forced to work 15-hour shifts, seven days a week without breaks or regular breaks.
The pattern cutter said she had to lift huge rolls of cloth weighing up to 35 kg and her hands hurt so much that she had to take pain relievers to work.
According to his lawyer, he now has carpal tunnel syndrome, which causes tingling, numbness, and pain in the hand and fingers.
Kristina, who worked for the star’s firm for eight years at the London studio in Hammersmith, could barely open her bag because her hands and wrists were very painful, her lawyer said.
Last year, he had an operation to relieve his carpal tunnel syndrome, but still can’t work.
She has now hired Slater and Gordon’s industrial disease attorney Natasha Moyeed to represent her.
The firm this morning confirmed that they are taking “serious legal action” against Victoria Beckham Ltd.
Natasha said: “Kristina worked for Victoria Beckham Limited from November 2011 to August 2019 and she loved her job working in the London studio at Hammersmith.
“She was a pattern cutter and very good at this job, but because she was good, she was tasked with working for long periods and with heavy fabrics.
His job was to lift rolls of cloth, weighing 20 to 35 kg, then place and secure the cloth to the patterns.

“It was these repetitive, uncomfortable and sustained movements that caused carpal tunnel syndrome to progress rapidly in the hands and wrists.
“The last time I saw her, she could barely open her purse. She is unable to work and has had to undergo surgery to have some movement in her hands.
“His job was to lift rolls of cloth, weighing 20 to 35 kg, then place and secure the cloth to the patterns.
“Once fixed, she would shrink the fabric with an industrial iron, again very heavy.
“This procedure would take between 30 and 60 minutes. He would then cut the fabric, which required significant pressure and precision when holding with the left hand and cutting with the right.
“This task took up to three hours depending on the garment.
“Normally I worked from 10 a.m. at 6 p.m., but twice a year for two weeks she attended New York Fashion Week.
“Over a month earlier, his workload increased to up to 15 hours a day, seven days a week, with no breaks or regular breaks.
“During these times his hands and wrists were so sore that he needed pain relievers to work.
“Victoria Beckham Limited was unable to implement measures to care for Kristina and prevent this from happening.”
Natasha added: “Last year, Kristina had an operation to alleviate her carpal tunnel syndrome.
What is carpal tunnel syndrome?
CARPAL tunnel syndrome is a condition that affects the hands and fingers.
There are several treatment options, but it can sometimes resolve on its own.
It stems from pressure on the median nerve in your wrist.
This causes numbness, tingling, and sometimes pain in the hands and fingers.
STC affects women more than men, but people of any age can develop it, although it is more common in middle-aged and elderly people.
The NHS describes the symptoms as:
– Pain or pain in the fingers, hand or arm.
– numb hands
– tingling or pins and needles
– A weak thumb or difficulty grasping
These symptoms, which also include pain, can come and go, and they usually get worse at night.
People with CTS generally report that the symptoms are most pronounced in the thumb, index, and middle finger, although the entire hand may be affected.
A pain can sometimes spread down the arm to the shoulder.
Sometimes pregnancy can lead to STC, and often the symptoms will go away on their own within a few months.
CTS can be caused by repetitive motion or action, which could be caused by work, depending on what you do for a living.
“He was unable to work after surgery, he left his position because he was unable to return to work.
“He still can’t work and has such a weak grip that he needs help around the house to do basic tasks.
“It is not known when, if ever, you will be able to return to a similar position, or any type of employment.”
Ms Beckham, wife of soccer icon David, was criticized for having suspended 30 of her 120 employees despite her 335 million pound family fortune.
This means that the taxpayer is paying the salaries of the billionaire personnel.
The 46-year-old woman also said she will not take her wages during the coronavirus pandemic.
Ms. Beckham founded her fashion brand in 2008 and now has offices in New York, Hong Kong, and London, along with her flagship store in Mayfair.
Your brand is now distributed in over 450 stores in 50 countries around the world. He won Best Designer Brand and Brand of the Year at the British Fashion Awards.
