Jordanian security forces arrested several high-profile figures as part of an ongoing security investigation and warned former Crown Prince Hamzah bin Hussein against actions aimed at the stability of the kingdom.
Those detained included a former minister and a member of the royal family, a senior military official told the Petra news agency on Saturday.
The official denied that Prince Hamzah, half brother of King Abdullah II of Jordan, had been detained. But in a video recording, the former crown prince said he was under house arrest and had been told to stay home and not contact anyone.
