The highest restaurant in the UAE, 1484 By Puro, is scheduled to open for guests on October 1.
1484 By Puro is the latest venture from PURO, an independent dining concept with two existing restaurants on Al Marjan Island and the Jais Viewing Deck Park.
Located on top of the UAE’s highest peak, Jebel Jais, the restaurant is named after its height of 1,484m above sea level.
A portion of the site will feature ceiling-to-floor glass windows, providing views of the peaks and valleys of the Hajar Mountains.
The restaurant will offer breakfast items such as Eggs Benedict, traditional shakshuka, S’Mores pancakes with marshmallow cream and maple syrup, and banana granola with yogurt, berries, raw honey and almonds.
The lunch and dinner menu will include squid fritti, wasabi shrimp, and Korean fried chicken. Main courses will include fish and chips, duck confit, barbecued ribs and fried sea bass.
RAK Hospitality Holding CEO Alison Grinnell said: “Jebel Jais is one of the most popular landmarks in Ras Al Khaimah emirate, offering visitors a wealth of adventures that guarantee memorable experiences.
“With Puro’s 1484 opening at the Jebel Jais Welcome Center, visitors can now enjoy an all-encompassing experience in the independent destination that is Jais Adventure Peak, home to thrilling adventure attractions like Jebel Jais Flight, Jais Sky Maze and the Jais Sky Tour “.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, 1484 By Puro will implement strict measures to ensure the safety and well-being of its guests.
These include a maximum seating capacity of 76 guests, sanitary equipment and the adoption of the necessary distancing and hygiene measures recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
