President Trump reacts to the role of the media and big technology in politics in a ‘Sunday Morning Futures’ exclusive.
President Trump once again lashed out at big tech and the media for controlling the narrative and failing to investigate what he calls massive voter fraud, in his first interview since Election Day.

They know how fraudulent this is. It is no different from Hunter. It’s no different from Hunter. “
The president criticized big-tech giants like Twitter and Facebook for suppressing a story published by the New York Post weeks before Nov. 3 that included potentially damning emails allegedly found on Hunter Biden’s laptop. The emails allegedly revealed that Joe Biden had been introduced by his son to a senior Burisma Holdings executive less than a year after the vice president intervened to have a Ukrainian prosecutor fired for investigating the natural gas company.
“We don’t have freedom of the press in this country,” Trump said. “We have repression by the press. They repress. You know, you can’t have a scandal if no one reports on it. ”

Trump also repeated his call to repeal Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996 related to liability protections. The legislation protects social media companies from being sued based on the information users post on their site, and allows, but does not require, social media companies to moderate content.
“It is enormously powerful, it is enormously corrupt: the media and big technology,” Trump said. “Section 230 should be eliminated because that is the protection that was artificially given to them. But it is a massive form of corruption, silence and repression.
“Like, for example, this conversation that we are having at the moment, they will only accept if there is something that was a bit wrong like you or if I mispronounced a word, you or I, that will be the story,” he continued. And yet they won’t talk about Hunter Biden. Never talk about it until Biden stole millions and millions of dollars. And if you talk about them, they take you off their platforms. Trump said he “took them by surprise” in 2016 before questioning why media elites were so hell-bent on making sure he lost reelection in 2020 given the stock market numbers before the pandemic. He also defended his own administration for having two COVID-19 vaccines ready for distribution in the next two weeks.
“People hardly talk about it, and they will try to complain, they will try to say that Biden invented vaccines,” he said.
