Weeks after stating that “there will be no government in Ethiopia after September 25 [Ethiopian Calendar], ”The Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) is reformulating its position.
The organizations’ spokesperson, Getachew Reda, had an interview with the Tigray Mass Media Agency (TMMA) on Saturday.
He said that the Tigray regional government will not accept or recognize any political decisions from the government of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and the parliament. However, he said, state institutions, such as the defense force, will continue.
He also said that TPLF, the political force that runs Ethiopia’s Tigray region, is ready to “rescue the Federation.”
