AlphaTauri team principal Franz Tost regretted Honda’s exit from Formula 1, but says he still expects “good results” until the end of next season.
Honda announced on Friday that they would stop supplying power units at the end of the 2021 season and left both the Tost team and sister team Red Bull to seek another partner for the start of F1’s new technical era in 2022.
For Tost, who has been with AlphaTauri (formerly Toro Rosso) since its inception in 2006, it is a particularly difficult pill to swallow given that the team just handed Honda its second win of the season (and the fifth since its return to the sport. in 2015). at the Italian Grand Prix.
