The latest development about the imminent launch of the Redmi Note 9 series in China refers to the highest-level device in the line. Although the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 have already been launched in India, there are new variants targeting the Chinese market, confusing, right? Good. The main difference is that those heading to China will have support for 5G networks.
The new GeekBench listing shows the Android 10 phone with 8GB of RAM and a 1.8 GHz octa-score chipset. It scored 645 in single-core tests and 1963 in multi-core tests on version 5.2. .5 of the benchmarking application.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro bound for China will ship with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon750G chipset, the successor to the Snapdragon 720G. The Redmi Note 9 series will be announced for the brand’s local market on November 26.
We expect three variants. Two Redmi Note 9 variants (one 4G and one 5G) and one Redmi Note 9 5G Pro. Specifications are not yet confirmed for either device, but the mid-tier device is expected to arrive with a Dimensity 800U chipset. The Pro model should come with a 108MP camera, 120Hz screen, and the previously mentioned Snapdragon 750G. More specs were revealed in this month’s TENAA leak.
