Elaine Thompson-Herah, again this season marked her class, winning her second consecutive 100-meter Diamond League race.
Thompson-Herah, who last week had a record of 10.85 in Rome, produced another fast, but slightly slower, 10.87 today in Doha, Qatar.
As in Rome, Thompson-Herah pushed aside multiple world medalist Marie-Josée Ta Lou, 11.21. USA’s Kayla White finished third at 11.25
Thompson-Herah now has two of the top three times of 2020. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce’s fastest of the year is 10.86s.
Anthonique Strachan of the Bahamas finished fifth with 11.42.
In the men’s 200m, Julian Forte ran a season record of 20.39 for second place behind Arthur Cisse, who topped the list with an Ivory Coast national record of 20.23.
Barbadian Mario Burke finished 4th at 20.72, just behind Christophe Lemaitre, 20.68.
Kahmari Montgomery, 45.55 beat Yousef Karam, 45.72 in the men’s 400 meters.
Yanique Thompson finished on the track, eight in the women’s 100-meter hurdles, at 13.52.
Payton Chadwick won the event with a season record of 12.78 to beat fellow American Taliyah Brooks, 12.86.
