In an attempt to protect Office 365 users from response email storms, Microsoft has been deploying a new feature called “Respond to all storm protection”.
This will be beneficial in cases where a less attentive employee forgets to bcc everyone or misconfigures a distribution list, resulting in responses to all email traces.
The tool will initially be useful for organizations that have large distribution lists. It will help businesses by detecting 10 total response emails sent to more than 5,000 recipients in one hour and blocking post-thread responses for four hours.
“We are considering possible future improvements to improve our accuracy of storm responding ‘respond to all’, add customizable thresholds by the administrator and block duration, as well as produce reports and notifications of storm ‘respond to all’,” said Microsoft.
The feature will also be available to smaller organizations in due course. The company said it would fine-tune, fine-tune and improve the tool to accommodate “a broader range of Office 365 customers.”
An announcement about this feature was made at the Ignite conference last year.
Microsoft recently announced that Windows 10X would offer on single-screen devices like laptops first. You are prioritizing the OS for single-screen devices in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
The company said customers are using Windows PCs to work and connect in the prevailing situation. “More than 4 billion minutes are spent on Windows 10 a month, an increase of 75 percent year-over-year,” said Panos Panay, Director of Product, Windows and Devices.
Microsoft originally planned to introduce Windows 10X on dual-screen devices like Surface Neo.
