Chandler now has a chance to prove his worth in the UFC among the best. Upon signing with the UFC, his first assignment was to be a replacement fighter for the main event of UFC 254. Despite traveling to Fight Island and gaining weight, Chandler did not fight. Both Justin and Khabib arrived at the event without a problem. Chandler aims to establish himself in the UFC.

The aftermath of UFC 254 has rocked the lightweight division. ‘The Eagle’ announced his retirement and has now put the likes of Chandler, Ferguson, McGregor, Poirier and Gaethje in a prime position to take the throne.

Michael Chandler took to Twitter to share his thoughts, saying: “16-hour flight back to the United States. Landed back in Las Vegas. Take another flight home in a few hours. Excited to spend some time with the family. But there will be no rest as long as there is a vacant throne … “Chandler then added,” There will be blood … and I’m looking forward to it. “
Chandler is ready to fight and in shape since he just finished training camp. However, ‘Iron’ has ruled out several names that he would like to face. Ferguson and Gaethje are on Chandler’s hit list.

Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor are likely to fight in January 2021. The fight between the two men will likely be for the vacant title. Ferguson recently lost to Gaethje and has been desperate to fight. Therefore, a fight with Chandler could make a lot of sense for ‘El Cucuy’.
Gaethje simply fought for the title and came up short. He would have to rack up some victories under his name before he could fight for the title again.
The lightweight division looks incredibly exciting right now. Five world-class fighters are in the mix for a title; however, only one can claim it. Who will it be?
