According to the SLP (Substrate-Like PCB) shipment deadlines, Digitimes was able to determine that two out of four iPhone 12s will hit the market before the other two. This is a theory that Digitimes has been putting out for quite some time and it stands in contrast to other forecasts, one of which is from Bloomberg.
However, all the theories have one thing in common: not all four iPhone 12s will be released at the same time. Following information from SLP vendors, the two 6.1-inch iPhone 12s will arrive in time: the Pro and non-Pro variants of the 6.1-inch version. Its components began shipping in July, while those of the 5.4 and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 did not begin until the second half of August.
Some believe that the budget iPhones, one of the 6.1-inch and 5.4-inch models, will be the first, but we think that’s a bit of a stretch. To maximize its revenue, and probably its profits as well, Apple would have to launch at least one of its high-end iPhones. And Digitime’s latest supply chain report confirms this once again.
