While LG will probably launch a Foldable phone in the future, you are experimenting with dual screen designs for now. Currently in the pipeline is apparently the LG Wing 5G, which has a folding secondary screen. The price of the phone has now been leaked and as expected it falls into the premium category.
Unlike some of the recently released LG phones, the Wing 5G apparently doesn’t need you to connect a display. For recent report, the companion screen opens from the bottom of the main panel and is positioned perpendicular to it to allow you to multitask.
The main screen will reportedly be 6.8 inches and the second will measure 4 inches. It will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 765G, which will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is expected to feature a triple camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor.
The leaked internals are nothing revolutionary and the LG Velvet with similar specs Starts at $ 599 in the US.
But again, the appeal of the LG Wing 5G lies in its quirky design and you can’t expect the company not to charge a premium for the secondary panel. LG supposedly thinks that the single form factor would be reason enough for you to splurge on the device and according to XDA Developers, will cost around $ 1,000 in the United States.
While that may seem like a lot for a Snapdragon 765G-powered phone, it’s definitely more palatable than the previously rumored $ 1,607 price tag.
The device will likely launch this fall.
Other details remain scarce for now, but the recently leaked videos have surely piqued our curiosity. the The first clip shows how the phone can be used simultaneously to navigate and answer a phone call. The second demonstrates how you can make gaming-centric devices run for your money.
