Camera sizes wouldn’t change much on regular S21 models between their 12MP primary sensors, 64MP telephoto units, and 12MP ultra-wide shooters. The Ultra, however, would use a second-generation 108-megapixel sensor, as well as 3X and 10X telephoto cameras with 130 percent larger pixels. All new Galaxies would finally get 4K video capture, 60 frames per second on all cameras, as well as 8K recording at 30FPS faster.
Other enhancements would include ultra-broadband from the Note 20, WiFi 6E twice as fast on the Ultra, and a mode that records video from the front and rear cameras at the same time. However, not everything would be a step forward: Samsung could use plastic (or “glasstic”) in the base S21 and reserve glass for at least the Ultra.
It is not sure how firm these specifications would be. However, if they are accurate, they would negate some of the incentives to buy a Galaxy Note. You would only need one if you intended to use the S Pen from the start or if you want the latest technology from Samsung when the Note is updated. If so, this might not represent the end of the Note, but it could represent a change in strategy.
