Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the sword of light It will arrive in the West for the first time this December via a Nintendo Switch launch.
This week, Nintendo announced that a special location for the original Fire Emblem game will arrive on Nintendo Switch in December, some 30 years after its original release in Japan.
Shadow Dragon & The Blade of Light is coming to Nintendo eShop starting December 4 and will cost you $ 5.99 or its regional equivalent.

Interestingly, like other recent Nintendo products (such as the Super Mario Bros. 35 trilogy and Super Mario 3D All-Stars), the game will only enjoy a limited release.
You must purchase it before March 31, 2021 if you want to keep the game. It will apparently go on sale in time for the series’ 30th anniversary, but that remains to be seen for sure.
The game is not an exact port of the original title. There are some improvements to the game that make it much friendlier for modern gamers to enjoy throughout its 25 hardcore chapters.
For example, you can rewind turns if you screw something up, and players can also fast-forward enemy turns.
As you can see from the embedded tweets above, there will also be a physical version of the game hitting western shores.
The limited-edition physical release, called Fire Emblem 30th Anniversary Edition, will set you back $ 49.99 (or its local equivalent).
The package comes with a digital code for Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & The Blade Of Light; a replica of the Nintendo Entertainment System box with an instruction booklet, a protective case and a world map; a Game Pak replica and a work of art; luxury art book; and Mini Nintendo Power magazine. It’s safe to say that this one is full of nostalgia value.
A rumor from last year suggests that more versions of Fire Emblem could also be in the works for the Nintendo Switch.
