The OnePlus Wearable surprise could be here in a few days

OnePlus has had a great 2020 with more phones at higher prices than before, including the shiny OnePlus Nord. There have been great true wireless earbuds too, and in an effort to keep us guessing, OnePlus now makes TVs too.

A few days ago, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau he said in a tweet, “Many of you said you wanted a watch, and as you may have heard over the weekend, we are making one, which will be released early next year. Wishes come true. “

But now it looks like there will be a OnePlus device even before the clock arrives. According to Android Central, the company is working on a wrist device, which will double as a fitness tracker and will be very affordable.

There are many trackers available, some of them with a really low price, like the Xiaomi Mi Band, currently in its fifth iteration. They are slim, light and functional. They have bright, colorful displays that outperform many American brand trackers, for example.

And they have remarkable prices: $ 40 or less.

A tracker? That’s pretty disappointing, isn’t it? In fact, maybe not. As Forbes contributor Jay McGregor has previously noted, one of the things that makes OnePlus a great brand is the way its products interact with each other. For example, OnePlus TV recognizes when a call comes in on a OnePlus phone and can automatically lower the volume on the TV.

Perhaps there are the same kinds of connections between the tracker, which is said to be called the OnePlus Band, and other OnePlus products.

According to the report, the OnePlus Band will be waterproof, have an AMOLED screen and a battery life of more than a day. Rumor has it that it will go on sale first in India, where those TVs are already available, it seems likely that it will cost less than $ 40.

A device with an AMOLED screen for less than $ 40 is quite incredible, although since that is also the deal with Xiaomi Mi Band 5, it is certainly not impossible.

It looks like it will launch a few weeks before the next OnePlus phone, which could mean early February or even January. It will undoubtedly be out in the first quarter of 2021, reports claim.

OnePlus is anything but me too. If you are doing this, it will mark the individuality of the brand and make something unique I would say. It will be interesting to see exactly what that is.
