The Elder Scrolls Online is getting a new expansion and seems to be returning to an iconic place in the series.
Revealed during The Game Awards, Bethesda teased the next location that fans of the game will venture to next. Known as The Elder Scrolls Online: Gates Of Oblivion, the MMO will return the world full of demons found in the 2006 release, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.
Details are scant, but the first in-depth search for Gates of oblivion It will air on January 21, 2021 via the Twitch developer channel. Outside of the trailer, the only provocation that the company has made is the adventure “will take you and your colleagues to the brink of Oblivion.”
As for the trailer, take a brief look at the Plains of Oblivion, as well as some of the monstrous beasts that roam the land. The iconic images of the Gates of Oblivion can also be seen briefly.

The next installment of Ancient documents The series has received no further updates since its initial announcement in 2018. Since Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda, the future of the series is still unclear, especially with regards to its appearance on systems outside of the Xbox family.
Study director Todd Howard believes The Elder Scrolls VI it could still be cross-platform, as it would be “hard to imagine” it being tied to a specific platform.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer also stated that the deal was “not made to take games away” from other players, adding to the theory that its launch could still be cross-platform.
