Here’s a look at 12 minutes of gameplay for the upcoming action RPG The Ascent.
IGN has launched with the first look at Neon Giant gameplay The rise.
Announced earlier this week for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, the game is a cooperative, single-player game set in a cyberpunk world that combines elements of science fiction.
In it, you play as a worker who has been enslaved by The Ascent Group, which owns “everything and everyone.” One day, while performing a task, the group, which is the largest megacorporation on the planet, shuts down for unknown reasons, and suddenly automated security systems go a little crazy.
This sparks riots, rival factions, and conspiracy theories. To combat threats, you will need to “take up arms” to prevent them from taking control and discover why The Ascent group went out in the first place.
The game features destructible environments, the ability to loot enemies to get upgraded equipment, and you can also upgrade your character with cyberware.
It can be played alone or with up to four others in local or online co-op and will be available sometime this year.
