EA’s Need for Speed franchise has always been a pioneer in racing games. It has always been the first choice for most gamers, on PC and consoles. The franchise has had some successful title releases like Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit. They released their latest game titled NFS Heat last year. However, he did not do very well on the charts.
People can easily call 2020 the most exciting year for gaming. With the release of the next generation consoles, many developers went to the market to launch and develop exclusive games for the new consoles. Among all the games that various developers have announced, there are hardly any racing games. So it seems that when looking at an open window, EA wants to take a picture with Need for Speed.
For a while, people had assumed that the new game would be a remastering of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit that was released in 2010. The most obvious clue was a listing for the game on Amazon UK. And now, NFS has launched a tweet thread along with other suggestions to put this assumption more strongly.
Need for Speed plans to make a big announcement on 5-10
A thread of tweets posted by the official Need for Speed admin had cryptic letters and numbers at the end. When they come together, they form an address to an EA website x.ea.com/nfs/510 that counts down to October 5.
The countdown is accompanied by a quote that reads: “5:10. How was it so fast? Five ten. Call Big Joe’s Pizzeria at 0800-510-510-510. “There has to be a way to fix this.. “Also, there is also a button that says “Rekindle the persecution.”
The button redirects to the NFS YouTube channel, which is set to premiere a video at 8 AM PT.
Also, 5-10 is the California Police Code for ‘racing or speeding vehicles’. With all these hints on police and broker dynamics, NFS couldn’t be more obvious. One only needs to follow the countdown and wait for the official announcement.
