Following the reveal of Green Arrow as the newest skin in Fortnite, Stephen Amell tweeted a rather amusing response to the news.
Stephen Amell had a rather amusing response to the news that Green Arrow would be the last arrival to Fortnite.
“Where is the knob?” Amell tweeted when the skin was revealed. This is a reference to the classic Van Dyke beard that Oliver Queen often sports in comic book canon. The skin is based on Amell’s portrayal of Queen in the CW television series. Arrow, particularly the final season. Amell himself never used the Van Dyke when he played Queen.
Arrow premiered on the CW in 2012 and served as the launch pad for a number of interconnected DC superhero shows including The flash and DC’s Legends of tomorrow. Amell played Ollie for eight seasons, with the finale aired in 2020. A spin-off titled Green Arrow and Canary Islands, with Queen’s daughter Mia (Katherine McNamara), has been in development on The CW. The Green Arrow skin will be part of the Fortnite January Crew Pack, which arrives December 31 at 7 p.m. ET, and is inspired by Amell’s costume from the eighth and final season of Arrow. Players will also be able to wear Green Arrow-themed gear, including Tactical Quiver Back Bling plus Style and Boxing Glove Pickaxe.
