We already knew that Spider-Cat was going to be the true hero of Spider-Man: Miles MoralesBut with the release of the PS5 game yesterday, we’re learning new things about this furry companion. Specifically, take a pet, as there is no problem.
Video Shared by the excellent and informative Twitter account @CanYouPetTheDog shows Spider-Cat getting a pet in the game, along with a very familiar line of dialogue. (You can also see the line in about 52 minutes in this YouTuber H20Delirious replay video.)
If the phrase does not ring a bell, it comes from this video belowFrom another excellent Twitter account, @Bodegacats_, in which an invisible New Yorker gives his authoritative review of one of the city’s homeless felines.
The phrase itself never reached full-blown meme status, but it is recognizable enough for a certain section of the internet. Hell, in our original post on Spider-Cat back in October, we even expected him to show up in the game, noting, “Now if only a few NPCs can go up to Spider-Cat and state that ‘a pet is needed, as if there is no problem ‘”. things will really be looking up for 2020 ”. And hey, what do you know, some things have really improved since then.
