There are also claims that Debretsion Gebremichael met with the Egyptian president who visited South Sudan on Saturday.

A report by the “Sudans Post,” apparently a Cairo-based Sudanese news source, said on Sunday that the South Sudan Diplomatic Mission in Addis Ababa has seventy-two hours to leave the country.
The source quoted anonymous staff from the South Sudanese embassy in Addis Ababa as saying: “They have given us 72 hours to leave. That this decision was delivered to us in a letter this morning by the Ethiopian security forces and they told us that they do not want us here ‘until further notice.’
However, the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry did not issue a statement on Sunday about the South Sudan Diplomatic Mission in Addis Ababa.
“Sudans Post” (https://www.sudanspost.com/breaking-ethiopia-expels-south-sudan-diplomats/) also stated that Ethiopia’s ambassador to South Sudan left Juba ”to protest against the presence of the leader of the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), Debretsion Gebremichael, in Juba “.
What is implied is that TPLF president Debretsion Gebremichael was in South Sudan. The website went further to claim that Debretsion met with the Egyptian leader, Sisi, who visited South Sudan on Saturday.
However, the chances of Debretsion escaping to South Sudan are almost impossible, as Mekelle, from where he was leading the war against the Ethiopian Defense Forces, was surrounded from four directions for several days before he was finally captured by the Ethiopian Defense Forces on Saturday.
The story would have made a bit of sense if it had claimed that Debretsion fled to Sudan disguised as a refugee from Ethiopia’s Tigray region and then to South Sudan.
No other news source reported on the alleged development of South Sudan’s diplomatic mission or on Debretsion’s flight to Egypt.
Meanwhile, the intelligence division of the Sudan Rapid Support Forces (RSF) said on Saturday that it has seized large quantities of smuggled heavy weapons in Kassala. The weapons are smuggled from Ethiopia, according to RSF.
RSF said, “The seized weapons included 3 sp.g.9 cannons, 3 820 ml. cannons, 7 machine guns, 11 RBJ 7 cannons, 1 G3 machine gun, 25 mines 23 of which are Iranian-made MD mines and 3 made in Belgium, 8 boxes of 12/7 rope machine guns, 8 bomb chains, 12 mine fuses , 1 doska 12/7 TM cannon, 65 mortar rounds, 5 60/75 mortars, 3 mine cable packages, 25 9 GPS cannon balls, 31 boxes of cannon ammunition, 38 82 ml mortar capsules, 7 9 GPS containers, 50 machine gun, 7 replacement tubes of 82ml machine guns, 1 telescope and 2 remote wireless communication devices ”.
