Senate Republicans are upset after Twitter blocked stories highlighting a disputed report on Joe Biden.
The United States Senate Judiciary Committee is moving to cite Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey after the social media platform decided to block New York Post stories that made claims about the son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham and Republican Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley said the committee will vote on sending the subpoena next Tuesday and plans to have Dorsey in front of the committee on Friday, October 23.

Meanwhile, Twitter temporarily restricted US President Donald Trump’s election campaign account from tweeting on Thursday, saying a video from the account about the son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden violated its rules.
The video posted by the @TeamTrump account referred to a Wednesday New York Post story that contained alleged details of Hunter Biden’s business dealings with a Ukrainian energy company and said the former vice president had met with a company adviser. .
“Joe Biden is a liar who has been cheating our country for years,” the video was captioned.
Twitter said the video violated its rules against posting private information, adding that the account may need to remove the post to continue tweeting.
“It will all end in high demand and there are things that can happen that are very serious that I would rather not see happen, but it will probably have to happen,” Trump said, when asked by Twitter about the measure. .
Twitter said Wednesday that the Post’s story violated its “pirated materials” policy, which prohibits the distribution of pirated content that contains private information or trade secrets, or puts people at risk of physical harm. Dorsey admitted that her communication about why they were blocking messages “was not great” and that doing so “without context on why” was “unacceptable.”

Facebook and Twitter took proactive steps Wednesday to restrict the spread of the Post’s story in the hours after it was posted.
