Samsung takes it against Apple for ditching power adapters after iPhone 12 launch

Apple followed through on their plans to phase out power adapters and wired EarPods with the arrival of the latest iPhone 12 lineup, claiming this is the best alternative for the planet, not because they’re trying to cut costs. They didn’t stop there as we also know that the latest iPhone SE, last year’s iPhone 11, and iPhone XR are now also sold without a power adapter and headphones in the box. This decision has not been approved by the competition to poke fun at Cupertino and put their devices in the spotlight.

Samsung recently posted a couple of images on Samsung and Twitter, poking fun at Apple’s decision to remove power adapters and headphones from the boxes of its new line of iPhone 12 and other iPhone models. One of the first images was found on Samsung’s Facebook page, where they posted a power adapter and a message saying “Included with your Galaxy.”

Apple claims that removing power adapters and headphones with the purchase of an iPhone will allow the company “to reduce carbon emissions by eliminating accessories and the smaller case size that iPhones use.”

Of course, speculation claims that Apple’s real reason is far from environmental reasons, as accessories may have been removed to cut costs due to the new 5G modem used in the latest iPhone. So removing those accessories from older iPhone models would be just an added boost to Apple’s sales, as they still sell power adapters and wired headphones in their store.

Samsung is also poking fun at the fact that iPhones have managed to include 5G in their devices, while Samsung’s flagships have had this feature since early 2019. And let’s not forget the 120Hz displays, which are also lacking in the lineup. iPhone 12, but rumors suggest we can get them on iPhone 13 next year.

In any case, we do not believe that Samsung has the right to mock Apple about the decisions that the South Korean company may also make in the coming years. Recall that Samsung already made fun of Apple when it removed the headphone jack or when it started using the notch, but in the end, most OEMs followed Apple’s footsteps. Samsung is even rumored to be planning to remove power adapters from its future devices; however, he is honest as to the real reasons behind this possible change.
