Samsung may have spilled the beans on how its next headphones won’t be beans

We loved the beans. The bean-like shape of the Galaxy Buds Live made sense! But while it originally seemed like Samsung was in on the joke, the company called them beans internally, and even printed the word on the circuit, Samsung’s upcoming headphones may take a different tack.

Today, the Indonesian Telecom Certification Authority revealed that the company has a new set of “Galaxy Buds Pro” headphones waiting behind the scenes (via MySmartPrice), Y Sammobile You may have already revealed what to expect – a source says they will be a set of sealed in-ear headphones with the same design as previous Galaxy Buds +, only now with active noise cancellation and “an improved ambient mode” so you can listen. more of your environment.

That makes perfect sense, as the bean-shaped Galaxy Buds Live was an attempt to offer a comfortable outdoor fit to begin with, and they only suffered mainly because Samsung could only offer so much audio quality (and noise cancellation) without having a stamp on the ear. Theoretically, the Galaxy Buds Pro could be more effective on both, with an improved ambient mode allowing you to get one of the benefits of outdoor audio.

We expect them to go head-to-head with Apple’s AirPods Pro, likely alongside an upcoming roster of Samsung Galaxy S21 phones. We expect them to be announced in January, so the buds are likely to arrive as well. How MySmartPrice notes, they seem to have approved several different regulatory authorities now, so they are probably not far off.
