The hands-on video of the leaked Samsung Galaxy S21 + online seems to give us an idea of the next flagship device, which will be released next month. The new smartphone appears to have ultra-thin bezels, significantly thinner than on the Galaxy S20 +. The Galaxy S21 + hands-on video also shows the phone with a prominent camera bump on the back. In addition to the new video, some details about the accessories of the Samsung Galaxy S21 +, as well as the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Ultra, have allegedly been leaked on the web. The storage variants and color options of the Galaxy S21 series have also been tipped.
Samsung Galaxy S21 + course practical video
The YouTube channel Random Stuff 2 has posted a hands-on video supposedly showing the Samsung Galaxy S21 +. The video of more than four minutes shows the next Samsung flagship with the model number SM-G996U. The video suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S21 + will have a variant of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, as the clip shows the phone running Geekbench 5 benchmarks that highlight “lahaina” as the chipset, which is believed to be a codename for the latest Snapdragon chip.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 + in the video gets a single-core score of 1,115 and a multi-core score of 3,326. These are higher than the leaked scores for a Samsung Galaxy S21 unit recently. But Samsung could bring some optimizations and improvements to the final Galaxy S21 + that could alter the test results. The new phone is also said to offer a full day of heavy use on a single charge.
The design of the supposed Samsung Galaxy S21 + unit in the video looks quite similar to the recently leaked versions of the phone. It has slim bezels and a perforated screen that Samsung calls the Infinity-O Display. On the back, the phone has a matte black finish and a camera bump is clearly visible. There are also three camera sensors, all of which have also been tipped to come with the regular Galaxy S21 model.
On the right, the Samsung Galaxy S21 + in the video appears to have physical buttons. The left side, however, appears to be completely flat. The narrator of the hands-on video also says that there was some color saturation on the phone.
Samsung Galaxy S21 series accessories (expected)
Alongside the hands-on video, MySmartPrice in collaboration with insider Ishan Agarwal has leaked details about the accessories expected with the Samsung Galaxy S21 +, as well as the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Ultra.
Samsung is said to offer many cover options for the Galaxy S21 series including Clear View Cover, Led Cover, Led View Cover, Silicone Case, Leather Case, Protective Stand Case, Clear Protective Case, Clear Stand Case, and a Transparent cover. The Galaxy S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra are also said to receive a special Smart Kvadrat case in Mint and Violet.
The Galaxy S21 Ultra in the new line is also rumored to have S Pen support and includes a slot for it. However, the S Pen will not be included with the phone, according to the latest leak. This is different from the Galaxy Note series which comes with an S Pen stylus in the box.
Samsung is also expected to offer a combination of S Pen and Silicon case for the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Also, the company is reported to offer some discounts on chargers for the Galaxy S21 series. This could make up for the removal of the charger and headset from the new flagships’ retail boxes, as claimed in previous reports. Tipster Agarwal also says that Samsung could bring a 30W charger.
Additionally, WinFuture has reported that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will have special versions of the Samsung Silicone and Samsung Clear View covers, both alongside an S Pen stylus.
Samsung Galaxy S21 series storage variants, color options (expected)
The WinFuture report has also leaked the storage variants and color options of the Galaxy S21 series. Both the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + are said to have 128GB and 256GB storage variants. However, while the Galaxy S21 is rumored to have gray, white, pink, and purple color options, the Galaxy S21 + is said to have silver, black, and purple hues. On the other hand, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is reported to come in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage options, with silver and black color versions.
It is important to note that the reported storage variants and color options are said to be from the Galaxy S21 models arriving in Germany. Therefore, some differences are possible in the variants that are launched in other global markets.
It is speculated that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S21 series on January 14. We can expect more leaks on upcoming models in the near future.
