Samsung reportedly released One UI 2.5 software update for Galaxy M31s users in India. The firmware comes with the November Android security patch with a host of new features like privacy-focused Alt Z Life feature, support for landscape mode on the Samsung keyboard, and more.
The software version has the build number M317FXXU2BTK1 and is 748 MB in size. According to the official changelog, the update brings Always On Display support for Bitmoji stickers. It also comes with improved performance like Video Pro, AR Emoji, AR Doodle, Scene Optimizer, SmartScan functions.
It also adds a new feature to the Galaxy M31s device that allows users to call a person who is saved as a pre-configured SOS contact. Another feature added to the device will allow users to send emergency messages to share location every 30 minutes for 24 hours.
The firmware also brings the Quick Switch feature that will allow users to switch between public and private modes of any application such as WhatsApp, Gallery, Camera, etc. with a quick double click on the side key of the phone. Furthermore, users can keep private content safe in a secure folder without anyone knowing about it. The update also brings device stability improvements with minor bug fixes.
The phone is powered by the Exynos 9611 octa-core processor. The phone offers a quad-lens camera on the back comprising a 64MP main camera (F1.8), a 12MP ultra-wide camera (F2.2), a 5MP depth camera (F2.4) and a 5MP macro camera (F2.4).
